30/05/07

Mansford Holdings has sold the designer penthouse office suite in its award winning retail and residential development at the Brewery Quarter in Cardiff to independent financial advisors, Ingram Graham. The 1,500 sq ft suite, which was the showpiece for the development, is located on the second floor and has its own balcony overlooking St Mary Street and Wood Street, with views towards the Millennium Stadium.

Rhydian Morgan of Cooke & Arkwright, who acted as joint agent on behalf of Mansford said, “This deal achieved excellent value, reflecting the superior quality and situation of the premises. The current proposals for a £3.5M facelift and partial pedestrianisation of St Mary Street, in combination with the St David’s 2 development, will significantly bolster interest and profitability in this area.”

The Old Brewery Quarter is a vibrant location in the very heart of the city, less than two minutes walk from the central railway and bus stations and is now fully let to a high quality international mix of restaurant and cafe bars. The scheme, with its bold and distinctive architecture, has won several awards including Property Week (Leisure Development of the Year) and Western Mail (Commercial Development of the Year). Since its opening it has become one of Cardiff’s most popular entertainment destinations.

Mansford’s Welsh development schemes include the Old Brewery Quarter, J Shed in Swansea, National Botanic Gardens and Bluestone. In Europe it is currently undertaking a €1bn property acquisition programme.
