PTS forms part of the Domestic Division of The BSS Group plc, a market leading distributor to specialist trades. PTS has over 20,000 customers in the domestic heating, plumbing and sanitaryware market which it supplies. The BSS Group turns over in excess of £1.2 billion, operates through 370 trading branches and employs over 5,200 people.

Hitesh Chauhan, Group Property Estate Manager with The BSS Group plc, said: “The Group has experienced a phenomenal level of growth over the past four years, especially in the heating and ventilation market. Energy efficient products are becoming increasingly popular and we provide a wide range including solar thermal energy, air heat exchange and ground source pumps, and underfloor heating. The opening of the Bridgend branch reflects the increasing demand experienced throughout the business as a whole.”

Cooke & Arkwright and Alder King acted as joint agents on behalf of Robert Hitchins on the deal. Jeremy Symons of Cooke & Arkwright said, “We are delighted to have attracted a prominent tenant such as BSS, which provides products to a very large market sector. It should act as an anchor for similar trade outlets requiring a central location with close proximity to the M4 and easy access for distribution purposes.”

The BSS Group plc was established over 100 years ago and now has three Divisions: Domestic, Industrial and Specialist. It is headquartered in Leicester and is listed on the UK Stock Exchange.
