The property was owned by British Rail until it was sold in 1997, since which time Cooke & Arkwright has acted as letting agent.

Tenants of the sixteen storey building include Legal & General, Welsh Assembly Government, Wales Tourist Board, the Irish Consulate and Black Horse Limited. The current owners are Dawnay, Day Property Investment Limited.

Philip Angell of Cooke & Arkwright’s Cardiff based commercial property management department, said that they were delighted to have been awarded the contract. “Part of our management team relocated to Cardiff from Bridgend three years ago,” he said. “Since then we have worked hard to develop our service provision covering every aspect of building management on behalf of landlords. The contract to manage Brunel House is a reflection of the quality of service that the team is able to provide in an increasingly demanding property environment”.

There are 26 Lease/Licences in place within the building. Most floors of the property are fully occupied though some suites are available on 3 different levels, ranging in size, from 6,000 sq ft to just under 14,000 sq ft. Telephone company Economy Calls, is the latest client to move in.

Cooke & Arkwright’s management portfolio involves a range of industrial estates and free standing industrial units, office buildings in single and multiple occupation, shopping developments and free-standing shop units.
