Selby has been with Cooke & Arkwright since 1990. He has responsibilities for valuation and consultancy work and certain management responsibilities for the Crown Estate in Wales. He has been involved in most of the major asset valuations carried out by the firm in recent years including valuations for Cardiff County Council, Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Swansea University, UWIC, University of Glamorgan, Monmouthshire County Council, Gwent Police and the National Museums and Galleries of Wales.
He is regularly involved in development consultancy work and development studies and works closely with Michael Lawley on such work. He has responsibility for development of computer applications to assist in professional work.
He was educated at Rugby School and Cambridge University. Prior to joining Cooke & Arkwright, where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, he was working as a Chartered Engineer.
