Roderick Perons

Director

Rod joined Cooke & Arkwright in 1985. He is a Member of the Rural Faculty, Residential Faculty, Planning and Development Faculty and Valuation Faculty of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He is also a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Rod is the Director responsible for leading the Rural and Agricultural Department of Cooke & Arkwright providing a broad range of services to public sector, institutional and private clients. These services cover agency functions, property auctions, valuations, property asset management, planning and development advice, diversification and grant schemes, compulsory purchase, pipeline schemes, landlord and tenant, contract farming and other land management arrangements and opportunities. The department is equipped with fully computerised property management packages and digital mapping systems.

Rod has provided professional advice to, and has acted for, clients including Forest Enterprise, the Welsh Development Agency, Transco, various local authorities, major clearing banks and other lending institutions, and numerous private landowners. Over recent years, he acted for British Coal and The Coal Authority in the sale of about 20,000 acres, and continues to represent The Coal Authority in South Wales. He acts as managing agent for The Church in Wales and is retained as a professional advisor to the Countryside Council for Wales.
