Michael has been with Cooke & Arkwright since 1981. He became a partner in 1988 and a director when the firm incorporated in 1991. He is now the managing director of the firm and also the director within the Cardiff office with responsibility for consultancy and development advice, including strategic residential land matters. He also has overall responsibility for valuations ranging from security to large scale asset valuations as well as landlord and tenant advice.
Michael is a governor of the University of Glamorgan, an elected member of the RICS Board and also sits on the Programme Board for Planning: Delivering for Wales. He is the private sector appointee to the Land, Property and Urban Regeneration Working Group of the South-East Wales Economic Forum.
He was a member of the Objective 1 Policy group, chaired the Objective 1 Regional Partnership for Sites and Premises, and also served on the National Assembly for Wales Panel of Independent Asssessors on Public Appointments. He is a past member of the CBI Wales Council and has chaired the CBI’s South-East Wales Committee.
