Huw Thomas

Associate Director

Huw joined Cooke & Arkwright in May 2000 and is based at the Cardiff office, leading the retail team dealing with agency and landlord & tenant work. The agency work includes the acquisition of properties for national and regional clients throughout South Wales and the Borders, as well as the disposal of leases and the acquisition and sale of freehold properties.

His work varies from acting on behalf of national clients such as CIS on Queen Street, Cardiff, to negotiating and settling rent reviews and lease renewals on behalf of national tenants such as Greggs the Bakers, the Principality Building Society, Woolworths plc, Scottish & Newcastle, Boots the Chemists, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Burger King and British Heart Foundation, together with various other local landlords and tenants throughout high streets across South Wales.

Huw was educated the University of Glamorgan and prior to joining Cooke & Arkwright, he worked in London for four years and spent a year travelling in Australia, New Zealand and various countries in Asia. He is a member of RICS and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
